Roadmap

Future included

It is our goal to make traffic information available for navigation systems - regardless of the information service - and hence enable dynamic navigation for the user at any time. Based on our API, which is supported by most navigation systems, we also develop products, which support new information services.

DirectBand / MSN Direct

Since 2007, the information service MSN Direct of Microsoft Corp. is broadcasted amongst others by Clear Channel, CBS Radio, Entercom, Citadel Broadcasting and Rogers in 134 metropolitan areas of the USA and Canada. MSN Direct utilizes DirectBand FM Network for transmission and transmits MSN Direct Services, which include traffic information, weather information, gasoline prices, local events and stock quotes.

TPEG / DAB

TPEG (Transport Protocol Experts Group) is based on RDS-TMC and defines the standard for transmission of traffic messages over digital radio DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting). DAB is already available in 20 countries, including Germany, Great Britain, Spain, Canada and five metropolitan areas in China. Due to the better utilization of frequencies, there are considerations in the countries of the European Union to replace the existing analogue radio with digital radio by 2012.

XM Digital Satellite Data / XM Radio

After the merger of XM Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio in 2008, XM Satellite Radio is the only U.S. satellite radio service. The traffic information service from XM Satellite Radio, XM NavTraffic, is made available as XM Digital Satellite Data.
